Point Bolivar Lighthouse - Photo Gallery

The lighthouse is about 1/2 mile from the ferry landing on main land side. Privately owned, access to close up photos are not possible. However, since it is located right on the main highway to the Galveston Ferry she's easy to find!

These photos taken in 2003. I don't know why it seems I'm always there when the weather's not good.
This is the side view approaching from Bolivar.
The shot shows the top of the tower with it's original copper roof.
Only in Texas will you find a Lighthouse with cows!
The historical marker.

These photos were taken shortly after 9/11 and I was using a disposal camera, hince the low quality.
The sign on top reads "God Bless America". (The dark spot above the tower is my finger .)
The tower is visiable from several miles away and is a majestic testimony to days gone by.
Yet another shot... but a little closer this time.
